Jason McNutt – Lead Pastor/Elder
Jason is originally from the Austin area. After graduating from high school in Georgetown, TX, Jason attended the University of Texas and graduated with a BBA and commissioned into the United States Air Force. Jason became a pilot in the Air Force and actively flew for the last 10 years. During this time God began to work on his heart and finally Jason began his relationship with Jesus. Continuing to fly in the Air Force, Jason felt called to full time ministry and soon became a circuit preacher for local churches in northern Louisiana.
There he was asked to become the pastor for a small church just north of Shreveport. Jason served as pastor for over 3 years while still on active duty in the Air Force. He has received seminary training from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The opportunity came to see if God was leading his family away from the military and to actively pursue returning to the Austin area. This opportunity came and God allowed Jason and his family to leave the military and move to Austin to join with Hill Country Bible Church Northwest and start a new church in the Austin area.
Jason and his family moved in September 2008 from Bossier City, LA to the Austin area. Jason began the residency program at Hill Country Bible Church and after much searching his family chose to settle in Dripping Springs. Jason and his family are excited to see how God will work in this community.
Jason is married to Mandi and they have three boys: Cole (16), Alex (6) and Andrew (4).
Andrew Rauch was born in Austria and came to the US at age 3. He was raised in the city and has fond memories of growing up in the Bronx, NY. Shortly after graduating from Pace University, Andrew moved to the Austin, TX area in the Spring of 1988.
Andrew and his wife Sabrina are Charter members and helped plant and launch HCBC Southwest. During the 8 years at HCBC Southwest, Andrew and Sabrina enjoyed serving in Real Life Groups, Men’s and Women’s Ministry, Backyard Bible Clubs and Set-Up team.
Andrew is the Founder and Managing Partner of ventureandphilanthropy.com and he has more than 15 years of entrepreneurial experience in various industries including technology, training, real estate services, telecommunications, consulting, and venture philanthropy.
Andrew is a charter member with Hill Country Bible Church Dripping Springs and he and Sabrina have three children, Olivia, Jackson and Karis.
Pete is not a native Texan, but does all he can to claim Texas as his home state. After graduating high school in Baytown, TX, Pete attended the University of Texas, graduating with a BS in Electrical Engineering and followed that up with a MSEE from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Pete’s professional career has followed a high-technology path starting in Dallas, moving back to Austin with technologies ranging from chip design, to telecommunications to his latest position in video communications. Pete likes to say that pick-up basketball started his journey to know Christ. He met his first pastor while playing hoops, ended up attending his church, followed by being baptized in the cool waters of Barton Creek and then his first ministry appointment into that church’s teen youth group.
Pete first attended Hill Country Bible Church Northwest in 2001 and was excited to join this small band of folks with the passion and vision for starting a church in Dripping Springs, especially considering that Pete and his family have lived in Dripping Springs since 1992. Pete is married to Gwen and they have three boys: Caleb (9), Cody (9) and Isaiah (5).
Along with spending time with his family, Pete’s interests include officiating D-1 college football, playing pick-up basketball and chasing golf balls.
Michael Brack has been doing the “church thing” since he innocently spent the night with a friend in middle school. Michael met the two most important people in his life at Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio as a result. The summer before 8th grade, he started to find out just how much Jesus loves him, and began an eternal relationship. A couple of years later, the young woman who would later become his wife asked him out on their first date. The rest, as they say, is history. Except it’s still going on. And that’s the really cool part.
Like so many others, Michael came to Austin to attend UT in 1990, and never left. After earning degrees in liberal arts and structural engineering in 1996, he joined Datum Engineers, where he currently serves as a Principal. When not designing the skeletons of buildings with architects, he enjoys doing carpentry, playing an occasional tennis match, water sports, reading, and hanging with family and friends. He also serves as a board member of the Dripping Springs Education Foundation.
Michael and Erin, and their three daughters, Abby, Caitlyn, and Hannah, joined Hill Country in early 2010. They have lived in Dripping Springs since 2003, but it took them a while to figure out the importance and beauty of being plugged into a truly local church in Dripping. Now he’s trying his best not to be the “appendix” in the body of Christ.
Blane is a native Texan. He was born in Houston but later moved to northeast Texas where he attended primary and secondary school. He received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin in 1993. He has spent most of his career with Schneider Electric, where he has held various technical and managerial roles.
In 1993, Blane married his wife Michelle and they called Houston and then Nashville, TN home for the first few years. However, they “got back to Austin as fast as they could” where Camryn, the first of their three daughters, was born in 2000, followed by her twin sisters, Kaitlyn and Madelyn in 2004. They have proudly called Dripping Springs and Hill Country Bible Church their home since 2010.
Blane has been active in his church and community whereever he has been placed since God began a good work in him as a young adult. He is excited about the journey ahead as God completes this work.
