In light of recent developments and recommendations from the CDC and White House, we are suspending all in person ministry gatherings. This is not out of fear but out of love and respect for our community, those at higher risk, and our government officials. We trust God can both eradicate this virus as well as use it for his glory. This is also a great opportunity for us as a church family to serve our community in different ways.

Sunday services will be streamed live at 10:15am. We will be using YouTube Live so you can view from the app, web browser or smart tv. You can find the stream under Live Streaming in the HCBCDS app, visit Youtube Live or on our website. We will still have a time of communion in the service so feel free to drop by the church during business hours and pick up the sealed communion packs or feel free to use your own bread and wine/juice. The sealed packs will be located near the front door of the church.

Jay will be sending a message to REALife Group Leaders about ways to stay connected. We are also asking for any tech savy people to contact Jay Owen ([email protected]). We will need some assistance on Sunday morning to be available for tech support for those needing help in connecting to the stream.

As this situation lingers the economic impact will trickle down. If you are finding difficulty with bills due to lack of hours at work or complete work halt please contact Steve Isgitt ([email protected]) for assistance. If you are in the category of high risk and do not or cannot get out to buy groceries, pay bills, or run basic errands please contact Steve as well so we can arrange for someone to assist you. If you know of someone in these situations and they do not have a church family then we would love to be that support for them as well. Pass on their information to Steve. If you are willing to help those that need to stay in please send Steve a note so we may coordinate any assistance.

For families with children and students, please be on the look out for a message from Paul. He will be providing resources of things to do at home as a family, ways to connect with the students online and children’s Sunday School curriculum you may use at home.

We will look for ways to stay connected with one another during this season and we are thankful that we have the technological innovations that make this possible. Feel free to use Skype, Facetime, emails and phone calls to check on one another and remind each other that though we may be physically apart for a short time, we are connected in Christ.

If you have any questions please email or call the church office.
