Elders & Pastors

Hill Country Bible Church is Jesus-ruled and elder-led. We operate under the authority of an elder board comprised of the lead pastor and multiple lay elders. Pastoral staff functions under the elders and accomplishes the vision and mission of the church while pastoring, training, equipping and leading the members of the church. 

Jason McNutt

Lead Pastor/Elder

Jason is originally from the Austin area. He graduated from the University of Texas with a BBA and commissioned into the United States Air Force as a pilot.

After serving over 10 years, God began to move Jason to full time ministry. He served both active duty and as a biovcational pastor. Jason and his family moved to Dripping Springs in 2008 to start Hill Country Bible Church.

Jason is happily married to Mandi and they have three boys: Cole (22), Alex (12), and Andrew (10).

Karlon Cox

Elder

Karlon is originally from the Texas Panhandle.  He attended Abilene Christian University where he and Dalia met and were married.  They have one daughter, Christin and a grandson, Devin, who live in San Antonio.  Karlon graduated from ACU with a BBA in Finance and later graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU.  He has been working in the banking industry now for over 40 years.  Dalia has a degree in Home Economics but works as a Paralegal for an Austin Law Firm.

Karlon grew up in a strong Christian family where his Dad served in their church as an Elder.  He has been active in music ministry in a couple of churches where they have worshipped but first “led singing” in church at the age of 6.
 
They have been in Dripping Springs now for 6 years and love living in the Hill Country. 

Mark Lander

Elder

Mark Lander has lived and worked in Dripping Springs since 1999. Both Mark and his wife Lisa grew up in Austin, where they were married some 38 years ago. They have two grown children and one new baby granddaughter. Mark came to Christ late in in life and was baptized in the Methodist Church at the age of 36, where he later served in various lay leadership capacities, and finally as the Chairperson for the Administrative Council. In addition to being an Elder at Hill Country Bible Church, Mark is a member of the local Hays Praise Emmaus Community, and serves as a Mentor at The Burke Center for Youth, and with the Dripping Springs Christian Academy. 

Andrew Rauch

Elder

Andrew has served in various business growth and leaderships roles including, Vice President of Growth for iTexico, a digital services firm focused on helping well-funded start-ups to enterprise brands transform their business by leveraging digital innovation. Vice President of Sales at The Knowledge Capital Group, where he was responsible for delivering strategic marketing, sales, and business development advisory services to more than 300 technology companies. Andrew has also held various business development roles with technology start-ups including Agillion, iChat, InfraWorks, and Motive Communications.

Andrew earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York.

Andrew is married to Sabrina, has three children and resides in Dripping Springs, Texas.

Brian Storm

Elder

Brian and his wife, Valerie, moved from the Chicago area to Dripping Springs in 2015 with a job transfer. He is an Electrical Engineer that has spent the last 24 years designing integrated circuits for cellular telephones after beginning his professional career with 10 years at the NSA. His childhood was spent in Irian Jaya, Trinidad and Venezuela as the son of church planting missionaries.

He has been active in the local church for all of his adult life serving in youth work, worship teams, small group leadership and young adult ministries. He has a passion for the local church to be a visible representation of the God that we serve, even in our imperfection, pursuing and encouraging one another on to be transformed into the image of His Son.

Brian and Valerie have 4 grown children and 3 grandchildren and he enjoys woodworking, grilling and the outdoors.

Steve Isgitt

Associate Pastor

Steve is originally from Houston.  After graduating from Texas Tech University he worked in the retail automobile business for 25 years, then owned and operated an auto repair business for the next 13 years. This business was sold in 2011 and he moved home full time to Wimberley.

Originally a bible major in college, he has always had a love for the church, and has served as an elder and lay minister for many years.

He is very grateful to have this opportunity to serve God and Hill Country Bible Church in Dripping Springs. He also teaches Bible courses at Dripping Springs Christian Academy.

Steve is married to Bren, and has two children and four grandchildren.

Jay Owen

Associate Pastor

Jay shepherds our adult group ministries which include Real Life Groups, men’s  and missions/outreach ministries. His vision is to equip and encourage ministry leaders.

He became a follower of Jesus as a young adult while attending a Bible-centered church outside Boston, MA.   Especially meaningful was a study he did with two other men titled “Examining the Claims of Jesus”.

Jay and his wife, Mary, have been married over forty years.  Before moving to Austin, they lived outside Boston for nearly thirty years where they raised their family.   They have three grown sons with families of their own.  Jay enjoys spending time outdoors and with family and friends.  He also enjoys general aviation flying.

Jordan Hajovsky

Jordan grew up in Arizona and moved to San Diego for college, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University. After living in California and working at UPS for 8 years, she decided it was time for a change and randomly chose Austin. She worked as the Director of Operations Support for the state retirement system for 9 years before deciding to become a stay at home mom. While working at ERS, she met and married her husband Bernie.  After starting their family, they decided to move to Dripping Springs in 2015.

Jordan grew up attending church and was baptized as a teenager. As an adult, her faith has deepened through trials and has become increasingly more prevalent in her daily life.
